An early morning walk around the ponds produced a lovely pair of Cinnamon Teal (69). American Robins and Blackbirds were vocal as where a pair of Canada Geese.
Nice! I ended up taking a walk along Nelson's waterfront, where passerines were pretty disappointing (good numbers of Gambel's and Savannah Sparrows but not much else). I was surprised to find something like 150 Bufflehead with smaller numbers of scaup, Ring-necks, Ruddies, and Horned Grebes--seems late for that sort of thing, but then it seems late for this sort of weather!
